Impact Evaluation Unit (IEU)

Assessing Impact: Science Serving Social Transformation

The Impact Evaluation Unit (IEU) conducts comprehensive studies on various programs and policies, utilizing robust scientific methodologies, including counterfactual analysis. We serve Public Bodies and Third Sector organizations, helping them gauge the effectiveness of their initiatives.

Comprising researchers from Collegio Carlo Alberto, our team specializes in labor, education, family, and public economics, with expertise in both empirical and methodological evaluation aspects. Our work is published in prestigious journals such as Review of Economics of the Family, Cesifo Economic Studies, European Economic Review, and Journal of European Social Policy.

We engage in program and policy design from inception, ensuring thorough evaluation. Our evaluations provide insights into program impact, highlight potential issues, and offer recommendations for enhanced efficiency.

Our primary objective is to conduct high-quality, rigorous impact evaluations while also establishing an educational platform to impart cutting-edge policy evaluation techniques to students and post-doctoral researchers.
