Rodolfo Sacco and his influence abroad
Venue: Aula Magna – Campus Luigi Einaudi, Lungo Dora Siena 100, Torino
The late Professor Rodolfo Sacco, member of the Lincei Academy and of the Institut de France, was a towering figure in legal scholarship. His contributions to comparative law have been formidable, and his studies on the circulation of models, on the decomposition of legal systems into formants and on the theoretical problems of legal translation have profoundly influenced comparative lawyers all over the world. This symposium, dedicated to the influence of his thought abroad, brings together leading legal scholars to discuss his intellectual legacy and explore how his groundbreaking work continues to shape the field of comparative law.
In honouring the memory of Professor Rodolfo Sacco and celebrating his enduring contributions, this symposium not only pays homage to an outstanding legal scholar but also promotes the continued development of comparative law in a global context
