Online Workshop
Politicians and redistribution
Organized by Fondazione Collegio Carlo Alberto and University of Torino
In a world of growing economic inequality, income redistribution is an increasingly important issue. Yet, despite many international surveys documenting a strong demand for redistribution from citizens, politicians in many countries seem incapable or unwilling to implement redistributive policies. This workshop will feature empirical research on the relationship between politicians and redistribution and the methodological difficulties encountered in collecting data on this particular target.
