Governments and families invest in children in many ways. Research shows that many of these investments have high returns, improving children’s health, education, and future employment and earnings. Yet despite these successes, there is growing concern about a youth mental health crisis. To what extent do various types of investments in children impact child mental health? How can targeted investments in child mental health be made more impactful?

I governi e le famiglie destinano importanti risorse ai bambini. Le ricerche dimostrano che molti di questi investimenti hanno un alto rendimento, migliorando la salute, l’istruzione, l’occupazione e il reddito futuro dei bambini. Tuttavia, nonostante questi successi, cresce la preoccupazione per una crisi della salute mentale giovanile. In che misura vari tipi di investimenti nei bambini impattano sulla loro salute mentale? Come fare per rendere più incisivi gli investimenti mirati alla salute mentale dei bambini.
