EFL Spring Conference 2024

Social and Digital Dimensions of Affordable Housing in Europe


Organized by the European Federation for Living, with Planet Smart city, Redo, Fondazione Housing sociale, Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo and Fondazione Collegio Carlo Alberto.

Collegio Carlo Alberto will host the welcoming reception on May 15, while the Turin conference will take place at Planet Smart City – c.so Stati Uniti 45, Turin.


This year edition of EFL Spring Conference 2024 will take place in the cities of  Turin and Milan, featuring a lineup of speakers composed of:

  • Fiona Dunkin, Policy Manager with Clúid Housing;
  • Mohamed El Sioufi, International Urban Development Advisor;
  • Elena Fabris, Head of Community Development at Planet Smart City;
  • Giordana Ferri, Architect and Executive Director of FHS;
  • Malcolm Fisk, Professor of Ageing and the Lifecourse at the University of
    Central Lancashire;
  • Alex Marchesini, Chief Digital Strategy Officer at Planet Smart City;
  • Paolo Mazzoleni, Architect;
  • Andrea Palisca, Head of Product at Planet Smart City in Turin;
  • Pietro Putetto, engineer and co-founder of Politecna Europa;
  • Demetrio Scopelliti, Director of Urban Planning and Public Space at the City of Milan’s Agency for Mobility, Environment and Territory (AMAT);
  • Marzia Sica, Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo;
  • Andrea Vecci, Impact, Sustainability and Communication Manager at REDO sgr;

This edition’s main focus will be on how organisations learn from global corporates, how elderly residents can improve their quality of life with technological innovations and how placemaking and well designed urban areas help wellbeing among the residents.
