17th PhD Workshop in Economics

The University of Turin and the Collegio Carlo Alberto are pleased to invite you to attend the 17th PhD Workshop in Economics.

For this year’s edition, we are pleased to announce the participation of Professor Nancy Qian (Northwestern University, NBER, BREAD and CEPR), Professor Alessandra Voena (Stanford University, NBER, CEPR, SIEPR and BREAD), and Professor Efrem Castelnuovo (University of Padova, CESifo and CAMA).

We invite you to submit your unpublished paper in any field of macroeconomics and applied microeconomics.

Submission

Please send your paper and CV through the Apply Section of the website (https://www.workshopecon.carloalberto.org/apply/). Papers must be written and presented in English. The session format will include a 25 minutes presentation by the author, 10 minutes of discussion by a formal faculty discussant and 5 minutes of general discussion.

Key Dates

– Paper submission deadline: September 15th 2024
– Notification of acceptance: by October 10th 2024
– Program Schedule: by November 11st 2024
– Workshop: November 21st-22th 2024

Practical Details

No registration fees are required. In addition, lunch, coffee breaks and Thursday’s social dinner will be offered by the Collegio.
Travel and accommodation expenses are under the responsibility of participants.
