20 years of excellence: our anniversary celebrations
On April 27, 2024 CCA reached a significant milestone: the 20th anniversary of its official foundation.
Founded in 2004 through the joint efforts of the Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo and the University of Turin, CCA has grown over the last two decades, cultivating a renowned international and multidisciplinary scientific community, and becoming a leading institution in frontier research, advanced teaching, and dissemination in the social sciences.
Today, Collegio Carlo Alberto is a dynamic academic institution, home to 70 faculty members and a community of over 360 researchers and lecturers representing 30 nationalities. Our scholars publish around 120 scientific publications annually. Each year, an average of 170 students enroll in our education programs, which can boast a remarkable 90% placement rate within six months from graduation. The Collegio also organizes nearly 300 events per year, attracting over 7,000 participants - 40% of whom are under 35.
Since its creation, Collegio Carlo Alberto has made efforts to delve into topics with significant societal impact, such as demographic shifts, economic behavior, financial market analysis, welfare, migration, and labor market. Through rigorous research, published in top-tier international scientific journals, CCA has contributed to major policy debates.
We wanted this anniversary to be an opportunity to reflect on our growth and achievements, and we developed a set of initiatives to celebrate the occasion.

Opening Ceremony of the Academic Year 2024-25
This event marked a further step of our anniversary celebration, with the official start of our academic programs and the presentation of the Intesa Sanpaolo Chairs in Economics.

Education beyond borders
Concurrently with the anniversary celebrations, the CCA staff promoted the fundraising campaign "Education beyond borders", meant to support students from countries facing danger and instability in successfully completing their academic journey at the University and Polytechnic of Turin.

From October to November 2024 CCA hosted two photo exhibitions by Andrea Borgarello, focusing on his “Great Green Wall” and “Notes on Migration” projects. The exhibition was among the highlights of the evening "Una notte al Museo", and remained open for free visits until end of November.
