Abstract

WERSA is a project financed by the European Commission, DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, "Call for proposals for actions related to the development of pension modelling and for support for mutual learning in national pension reform processes (PROGRESS)".

The Italian Social Security Institute (INPS), which runs the project, has set up national and international partnerships with the Commissione di Vigilanza sui Fondi Pensione (COVIP), the Center for Research on Pensions and Welfare Policies - Collegio Carlo Alberto (CeRP-CCA), the University of Bologna, the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR). The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), although not a formal partner, is also closely following the project, given its expertise on multi-country research on retirement savings adequacy (RSA).
