"2013: A FINANCIAL ODYSSEY"
At Scuola di Management ed Economia (room 9, third floor)
What is a financial crisis? What is the relationship between finance and real economy? Are financial speculators the only to blame? What is the role of rating agencies?
Assemblea di Economia is organizing a conference to discuss these themes with two guests who hold two very different points of view.
Filippo Taddei is assistant professor at the John Hopkins University (Bologna) and research fellow at the Collegio Carlo Alberto. In his research he studies the interactions between macro and finance.
Jan Toporowski is Reader in Economics and Chair of the Economics Department, The School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. He is also an IUC Faculty Member. In his studies on economics and finance he employs the ideas of heterodox economists such as Minsky and Kalecki.
The conference will be held in English.
